Saffy 🐾,

Age: 14 years old (in 2026) Breed: European Shorthair Tabby

Saffy was born to the same stray feral mother as Cassie and Elly. She was a tiny little kitten when I took her in. Her mum didn’t care for her babies particularly well, and they lived alongside a very busy road, so sadly, most of her siblings ended up under cars once they were old enough to start roaming.

Saffy has always been an exceptionally tiny, skinny little cat, with a personality that is every bit as intense as she is small! She is incredibly highly strung and, for many years, I could barely touch her despite having bottle-fed her myself. I affectionately referred to her as *“my psycho cat”* because I couldn’t medicate her, clip her claws, or even pick her up without causing absolute panic. 😹

Despite all that, Saffy has always had a very sweet side. She was always the first cat to jump onto my lap when I sat down and would happily sleep on my lap all night — I just wasn’t allowed to actually pet her! One wrong move and she’d be gone. 😂

Thankfully, over the last couple of years she has become much more manageable. I can now clip her claws and brush her, which she absolutely loves, and she is very happy to have a good head scratch.

Saffy has never been particularly sociable with other cats and can get quite uppity if they come too close. She definitely has her favourites — and Freddy, Krüger and Mimi are very much *not* on that list! 😹

She does have a recurring eye issue that occasionally requires drops, but thankfully it’s nothing serious. Apart from that, at 14 years old, Saffy is currently in perfect health.

Tiny, nervous, slightly bonkers… but very much loved. ❤️🐾
